"With planning a wedding in 3 months, I am so glad I was connected with Amalia. I knew I wanted a more low key wedding and definitely did not realize how much work still went into that! She helped me with timelines, kept me on track and organized, helped with decorative signs and answered my many questions and offered opinions! Amalia even scheduled phone calls which I was very thankful for so I didn’t fall too behind. She also brought to my attention many details that I probably wouldn’t have thought about.
The day of the wedding would not have come together without Amalia and Jenna- they set everything up exactly how I had pictured and helped pack everything up at the end of the night. "Amalia and Jenna were SUPERB!!! I am sooo happy I found her to work with. She helped me leading up to the wedding and was my DOC. Communication with her was wonderful leading up to the wedding and on wedding day she had my back, making sure everything went smoothly. I’m so happy!
We had multiple calls where she made sure I had everything covered and reminded me of things I would have never thought of. She designed beautiful signs for me and had them printed the day before the wedding bc I ran out of time to do it myself. She was always quick to respond and her and Jenna had amazing input on everything I needed and more. The day of the wedding I didn’t have to worry about a thing and she and Jenna were right there the whole time, with a smile, making sure everything was perfect!"

"Jenna and Amalia were absolutely amazing leading up to and through our wedding weekend. In the weeks beforehand they did a great job keeping us organized, tying up loose ends, mocking up decor, communicating with many vendors, and finding us a last minute videographer within budget. We had many moving parts during our wedding weekend and they were behind the scenes ninjas making sure that everything looked stunning and people were where they needed to be. From the first meeting we could feel their authenticity and care for making our wedding everything we wanted it to be, and they delivered that and more.
They always made themselves available to us throughout the process and never made us feel like we were behind or unprepared though sometimes we definitely were. Our wedding weekend had numerous events, cultural moments, vendors, and moving parts especially because it was a summer camp-Indian-Peruvian-fusion wedding, but nothing seemed to dim this team’s ambition. Jenna’s enthusiasm and excitement were always a source of light and encouragement for us in some of the tougher days leading up to the wedding and Amalia’s cool demeanor and get stuff done attitude moved everything along with ease.
Despite the tight schedule and challenges we threw at them, Jenna and Amalia made both me and my husband feel grounded after every interaction. Seeing their smiling faces in the crowd during the weekend events was always a source of comfort. They make an incredibly balanced and capable team. "If you’re thinking about a day of coordination team and you’re unsure or think you can do it all yourself, take my advice and DON’T WAIT to hire The Butterfly Effect Weddings as your team. You will not regret it!! When we first began planning our wedding, hiring a day of coordinator never crossed our minds. As we started to get closer to the big day, we quickly realized that was a mistake and panic began to set in. I frantically searched the Brides of the Hudson Valley Facebook page and googled some of the names that popped up and one of the first I came across was The Butterfly Effect Weddings. The name resonated with me first because it is indicative of serendipity and comforted me to think that maybe I wasn’t too late to hire someone, maybe I was doing it exactly when I was supposed to. Then as I started reading about Amalia and Jenna, for reasons I can’t explain, I felt an instant connection and immediately reached out. I was sad to get an out of office response as they were on a very well deserved holiday for the end of December but to my surprise within a few hours, I received a personal response from Jenna saying that they’d like to set up a call. From there, the deal was sealed.
During our first conversation I felt like I could tell them anything and that I’d known them my whole life. The level of ease and comfort they provided during one of the most stressful times was overwhelming in the best way. They took calls with me at crazy times during their trip to the Philippines and made me feel like I was their only priority while they were also visiting family. Not only did I have faith in their ability to execute on the day efficiently, but given their background in interior design I also had complete faith that every detail would be considered and executed with intention. Fast forward to the day of our wedding - the day simply wouldn’t have gone as smoothly nor look as amazing if it weren’t for Amalia and Jenna and their abilities. My new husband, my mom, MiL, Bridal Party, everyone were completely impressed with them and knew they could go to them for anything during the day/ night. They made sure that every item we ordered for our wedding was collected and brought back to our room and not a single thing was missed. They even made sure to get the Christmas tree backdrop we were planning on set up when we forgot.
I cannot thank Amalia and Jenna enough for all they did to ensure every vision we had came to life and I cannot wait to continue building on a friendship with them."
